Feeling a little blue?!
9 times out 10, we get asked to use a white or off-white render on the buildings we insulate, but when we did this house in Orpington the homeowner was keen to bring a bit of color to the mix and requested we use a baby blue color render. When we are quoting jobs, we tend to provide the customer with our colour chart to help them choose a color they want. We mix the colour up here in our warehouse, which means we can produce samples with very little notice (some installers take weeks to get their hands on colored render) but we are also able to offer an almost limitless number of colors, so if you want to match your eye colour , the colour of your car or even the colour of your favourite handbag we can help!
The house was insulated with 100mm of EPS insulation, helping to bring the u-value of the house down to 0.27W/m2k. This betters a new wall built to today’s building regulations – so in terms of energy saving, there really isn’t much better out there. This job was paid for using a combination of GDHIF, Green Deal finance and also a small customer contribution.
